Boxing didn’t just teach me how to fight in the ring.
Over the years, it has taught me lessons that I apply every day as an athlete, a mother, a professional, and a person.
The first is that the strongest person doesn’t always win. Often, the one who stays focused when everyone else loses their cool wins.
The second is that taking a step back doesn’t mean you’re giving up. Sometimes you need to stop, regroup, and see your next move more clearly.
And the third is to never judge someone by their outward appearance. Behind a smile can be hidden battles that no one knows about.
These are just three of the many lessons that boxing has given me. Lessons that go beyond sports and concern the way we face life, difficulties, and ourselves.
Because after all, the greatest battles aren’t always fought inside the ring.
